Yes, you read that right. I can assure you that when I first learned that my poem would be the closing bookend to a collection of works that opens with a poem by Ursula Le Guin, I was torn between swooning and an desire to caper about with glee. (Capering eventually won out.)
The collection includes works by fabulous authors including noted scientists and award-winning fantasy authors, including Tiffany Trent, author of the Hallowmere series and forthcoming novels. Also in this book (just before my poem, in fact) is Patrick Samphire, who is married to my long-time LJ friend, Stephanie Burgis, author of A Most Improper Magick (aka Kat, Incorrigible). You can check out the full, fabulous Table of Contents online.
Purchase this e-book for only $5 US (technically, $4.99) and you not only get the fabulous content inside, but also the knowledge that the full purchase price is going to the Gulf Coast Oil Spill Fund of the Greater New Orleans Foundation, which divvies donations up among organizations that help fishermen and their families, a term which includes not only direct assistance to the local fishing families but also funding to the SPCA, environmental monitoring via the "Bucket Brigade" and more. And hey, given the content, this e-book would be a bargain at twice the price.
I hope you'll all check it out.

Wow! I'm going over NOW to buy it! Not only great content, but a very worthy cause.
BTW Kelly Ramsdell Fineman? That's probably the best name I've ever heard.
I could look at those pretty pink sparkles ALL DAY. (Seriously, I could. Must move through to-do list, though. Right? Right.)
congrats, congrats, congrats!
you go, kelly!
:D
And I will definitely go check it out. What a cool idea and what a great list of writers.
And I remain gobsmacked and completely gleeful that my poem was taken, even though it is one of the finest poems I've ever written (in all seriousness).
