Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows, Part 2

More later today, when I've slept and such, but OH MY GOD WAS THIS MOVIE INTENSE AND WONDERFUL!

The girlies and I saw a midnight (12:06 a.m.) 2-D showing, and we luuuuurved it. There was much crying and more laughter than we expected and a fair amount of clapping and cheering.

And now, to bed.

Oh, Terri, I sure hope you get to see it very, very soon. You are going to SQUEE! And want to see it a second time, of course. M is there now with a friend; S is going again soon as well. I will likely head off to see it once more ere it departs theatres. SO great!

We saw it, also. Fabulous!

Our audience laughed, too, at moments I didn't want them to laugh. We'll have to discuss.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS - ABANDON HOPE ALL WHO ENTER HERE!
Not sure if this was one of them, but I thought that the moment involving Voldemort and Malfoy hugging was actually laughable - it was so very, hilariously awkward, and good tension break, since most of the film was TENSION TENSION TENSION TENSION all the way through.

That was one of them. I think you're right about it being meant as a tension break and that is part of what I didn't like. It pulled me out.

I saw something on Tumblr that read, "How awkward was that hug, on a scale of 1 to Lord Voldemort?" I chuckled.

Glad you enjoyed it. U2 concert was AWESOME. Thought of you just as I was getting in bed at 1 am. "Kelly's watching HP right now," I told P.

Our audience cheered at all of the best parts and there was a collective "YES!!!" that hissed through the theater when one important part, the inclusion of which was not certain, began.

I saw it in 3D and don't think the film gained much from it. The experience was lack-luster compared to movies that were filmed with the intention of being shown in 3D. Still, it was pretty, and the round Potter-style 3D glasses were a nice touch.

I believe you are referring to a bit involving a cat fight, yes? OH THE "YESSES" that echoed through the theatre at that point!

lol. :) and this, right here, is why i wish i had more time for lj during the day. i miss the daily dose of wit.

work has gotten crazy over the last several months, so i have minimal down time, and with the baby, when she's asleep, my options are usually either writing, reading, or getting online, and the second one on that list is usually my first go-to and then i'm asleep!

You are a better woman than I am. Although, since BD isn't in a rush to see HP7, that has no doubt affected my interest.

I loved every minute of it - even the three hours that M and I spent in the theatre before the show started. Truly, this film was a marvelous way to end the series.
