Still shopping, etc.

Today, I managed to mail gifts to my brother in South Carolina - they ought to be there before the end of the week, no problem.

Bought a couple of gifts for the kids.

Still have to pick up a few things for my parents, plus make my great-grandmother's recipe for Plum Pudding (no actual plums involved, although there are dates and currants), before I can mail their package out. *eyes calendar AND clock nervously*

Still have to write out all but two holiday cards for relatives. This includes a Chanukah card for my wonderful ex-inlaws, and, um, tonight is the first night of Chanukah.

Still have to pull out my menorah so I can light it tonight, too, although I pulled out the Christmas tree and decorations yesterday. (Yeah - my kids celebrate Christmas, while I celebrate Chanukah - it's extremely multi-cultural around here. Thank heavens for Barenaked for the Holidays, which includes a mix of Christmas and Chanukah tunes.)

Have to go to my Kiva account and re-invest my credit into a new microloan. You can learn about Kiva and become a microfinancier (or do as I did a few years ago and give Kiva credit to someone else as a gift, making them a microfinancier) by clicking the Kiva link below.

How are you making out?

Thank you so much for the link to Barenaked Ladies Holiday CD! We celebrate both Hanukah and Christmas and i really wanted my boys to hear some Hanukah songs too. I'm done my shopping, but I did most of it online because I'm not much of a shopper.

You can download just the Chanukah songs as an EP at iTunes, I believe. I especially love the song "Hanukkah Blessings", which includes the Hebrew for the lighting of the candles. It's really gorgeous. And the Christmas tunes are fabulous.

Still have a lot of shopping to do, but as long as I do it by tomorrow, I can accomplish it on line.

Holiday cards sent! Woohoo!

Must finish shopping - online and in-person - so I can get to those cards!

One must have priorities, and yours sound like they're in the right order to me.

Warm thoughts
Happy holidays Kelly! Just about done with all the shopping, and am enjoying having our girl home from college. Our new dog is unwrapping presents as fast as I can wrap them!

Wishing you all the best this year!

Re: Warm thoughts
Wishing you all the best, too - I thought of you earlier tonight, since I took my first-ever crack at making hamburger gravy and mashed potatoes. I really loved when your mom made that!

I think I'm done, all bought delivered and wrapped, have a couple I need to pick up from an author that is signing for my nieces. It's nice to know Tessa Gratton. Anything I get now is just bonus.

It is indeed nice to know Tessa Gratton.

I still have to get one or two more presents, as well as some stocking stuffers for the kids, but I'm basically done, too.

All I can say is "Thank God for Amazon". I'm still shopping. It's pathetic.

I ordered stuff for my mom from that particular retail outlet last night, then signed up for the free Amazon Prime trial just to be assured of timely shipping. *le sigh*

Happy Chanukah!

My presents are all here, but I need to have a second wrapping extravaganza for family presents tomorrow before we head up to Gettysburg.

Happy Chanukah and Merry Christmas to you and yours, Kelly!
