All the weather

That is what we're having today.

There was snow, at first. Tiny flakes bent on reaching the ground and accumulating. And then somewhere above us, someone cracked open a new bag of snow and stopped bothering to sift, just dumping it in a hurried manner, while wind and thunder joined in. Conditions were so swirled that we couldn't see the neighboring house, which is usually visible at all times.

Moments later, and quite all of a sudden, everything was calm. The sun came out, and a last few errant flakes floated lazily to ground.

I suppose that the bustling bit was the polar vortex returning, but it's nowhere near as frigid as last time, so I don't really mind it. And the dusting of snow here is pretty - not enough to completely cover things, save for the last little mound of plowed snow out in the street, which is now bright white instead of dingy grey.

Outside, a mourning dove calls. A mockingbird just ran across the driveway. They are out to celebrate the blue skies and wispy clouds, I suppose. Perhaps I will join them.

Wow, sounds like CO weather ;) We had fog, wind, snow...and woke to sunshine and the sparkle of champagne powder (only an inch).

No kidding. And now there's more snow in the offing. We are in the 10"-14" range based on the 6 o'clock news.
