We made the final push to clear and clean the house last Wednesday and Thursday, and I bid the house a fond and tearful farewell. The closing was on Friday, and went smoothly. Spent a bit of Saturday trying to sort out the many boxes that came over during the last push - not to unload them, just to figure out what is long-term storage and what has to be unpacked. I'd have done more, but I woke with a weird migraine that resulted in vertigo, but no actual pain. (Not sure which I'd prefer, actually, since the vertigo was difficult to deal with.)
Sunday I was supposed to drive Maggie and her roommate back to Amherst, then stay over, then drive home on Monday. (Long drives and I don't always get along these days, thanks to the RA and fibromyalgia issues.) Thanks to residual dizziness, my sweetheart ended up driving, and we had to go up and back the same day, because he had a full day of classes yesterday starting at 8 a.m. (Got home about 1:15 a.m., almost exactly 12 hours after we left the house in the first place.)
Needless to say, I'm a bit tired and sore. But also content, really, because I am not being pulled in multiple directions anymore between two homes. Instead, I am able to be fully in one place. Yesterday, I managed to unpack two boxes, put some things away, and clean both bathrooms before hitting the wall at about 5:30 in the afternoon. (As my sweetheart said last night, "You didn't hit the wall until late in the day? That's progress!")
Today, I am focusing on paperwork. I spent an hour this morning typing up and revising poems from my poetry diary. I managed to get eleven out of the month of February that were worth working on. Talk about a surprise bonus! And I will work on income tax stuff (nearly done), as well as filing and getting through some stacks of paper that need to be sorted and taken care of in various ways.
And tomorrow, it will be time for Wednesday with the Bard.
Hope all is well with you. Feel free to let me know, either way!
